The CHBC designation helps health care professionals distinguish a knowledgeable, experienced consultant from those who lack solid credentials.
To become a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant, one must:

Have served as a business or practice management consultant in the health care field for at least three years.

Have passed a rigorous examination covering business and financial management expertise

Maintain at least 35 hours of approved continuing education credits each year.

Document adherence each year to an industry specific Code of Ethics

Expertise in one or more specialties, along with a holistic view of the total healthcare practice and its business needs

B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent

Experience in the healthcare field for a minimum of three years
